Betty Lorene (Moulin) Cox, 74, Independence, passed away Sept. 29, 1009, at the Grove-Rosewood Health Center.
She was born Aug. 11, 1935, and was raised by John and Eunice Moulin of Jameson, Mo.
Betty graduated from Jameson High School in 1953.
On Feb. 19, 1954, she was united in marriage to Raymond J. Cox. To this union one daughter was born, Jana (Cox) Lee.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond Cox; brothers and sisters, Anderson Moulin, Alice Palmer, Frank Moulin, Rachel Searcy, Dorothy Eads, James Moulin; and half brother, Ronnie Palmer.
She is survived by her daughter, Jana and son-in-law, Marvin, of Gallatin; her long time companion of 30 yeas, Emery (Red) Cox of Independence; granddaughters, Kerri Sterneker and Janell Lee of Gallatin; great-granddaughters, Morgan Lee-McGinnis and Kaylen Sterneker of Gallatin; half sister, Thelma Assel of Pattonsburg; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 3 at the D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Floral Hills Funeral Home & Cemetery, Kansas City, Mo. Family visitation was held one hour prior to the service.
