Two teenagers received minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident that happened at about 12 p.m. on Sept. 25 in Daviess County.

According to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Rachel Bird, 18, of Winston, was eastbound on Ridge Avenue three miles northwest of Winston. Rachel lost control of the 1995 GMC. The vehicle traveled off the south side of the roadway, struck a fence and overturned on to its wheels south of the roadway.
Rachel and a passenger, Dustin Vacha, 16, Kansas City, were taken by Daviess County Ambulance to Cameron Region Medical Center. They were both wearing their seat belts.
The accident was investigated by Sgt. M. Ott, assisted by Daviess County Sheriff and KAW First Responder.
The vehicle was totaled.
