A Jameson woman received minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident that happened at about 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9, in Daviess County.
According to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Joel Hughes, 34, was eastbound on Hwy. 6 and struck a deer in the roadway about four miles west of Jamesport.
A passenger in the vehicle, Maria Sendra-Hughes, 37, Jameson, was transported by Daviess County Ambulance to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton. She was wearing her seatbelt.
The 1997 Pontiac receives minor damage.
The accident was investigated by Cpl. P.M. Kimball, assisted by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.
A Winston resident sustained minor injuries when her car was struck by another car that had come loose from a trailer as it was being towed in Cameron Tuesday, according to Cameron’s Citizen-Observer.
Cameron Ambulance transported Dana Utt to Cameron Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The accident occurred about 3 p.m. Tuesday on Walnut Street, near the intersection with Evergreen.
Virginia Hamer of Cameron was driving a 1994 Dodge Caravan northbound on Walnut and towing a 1992 Chevrolet on a trailer. The Cameron Police Department reports the straps holding the Chevrolet to the trailer broke loose and the car rolled into the southbound lane of Walnut, narrowly missing one vehicle before crashing head-on into a southbound 2000 Olds being driven by Ms. Utt.
