Funeral services for Dorothy Campbell were held Aug. 21 at the Gallatin First Baptist Church. Burial was in Rogers Cemetery, near Gallatin. Memorials may be made to the Children’s Mercy Hospital in care of McWilliams Family Funeral Homes, Inc.

Dorothy Campbell, 87, died on Aug. 18, 2009, in Riverside.
Mrs. Campbell was born Nov. 3, 1921, to Levi and Grace (Welborn) Rogers in Gallatin. She was raised in the Gallatin area, where she lived most of her life. She attended schools in Gallatin and in Chicago.
On Oct. 26, 1945, she was united in marriage to Ira Alvin Campbell in Troy, Kan. He preceded her in death in 1977.
Mrs. Campbell was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by sons, Gene, David and Johnnie; daughters, Delores and Jane; brothers, Frank, George, Jack, Howard and Bill; and sisters, Mae Cummings, Winnie Payne, Helen French, Kate Gott, Effie Cummings, Bea Misskelly and Marie McClain.
Survivors include two sons, Jim McBrayer and Alan Campbell, both of Cameron; six daughters, Sally Dusenbury of Antioch, Calif., Susie Frazier of Cameron, Nancy Meulmester of Kansas City, Kan., Kathi Warren of Spickard, Belinda Campbell of West Allis, Wis., and Iris Salyer of Riverside; 19 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
