Funeral services for Mildred Lambert were held on Aug. 18, at the United Methodist Church in Chillicothe. Burial was in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church or to Children’s Mercy Hospital and be left at the funeral home or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Mildred Lenore Lambert, 95, Chillicothe, died on Aug. 16, 2009, at her home.

She was born on Aug. 20, 1913, the daughter of John Harvey and Cora A. (Myers) Harding in Meadville.

On June 7, 1940, she married Joe Lambert in Linneus. He preceded her in death on July 18, 1982.

Mrs. Lambert attended rural Centerville School in Meadville and graduated from Meadville High School. She was a member of Chillicothe United Methodist Church and Hannah Circle of Methodist Church, Chillicothe Chapter #113 Order of Eastern Star, where she was a 50 year member; Chillicothe Garden Club; GFWC XIX Club; Grand River Historical Society; Hedrick Medical Center Auxiliary; and Past Worthy High Priestess of Bethany White Shrine #13.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Gerald and Robert Harding; and a sister, Winona Kulis.

Survivors include two nieces, Donna Hamilton of Bella Vista, Ark., and Jennifer Golden of Kansas City; five nephews, Steve Harding of Fulton, Timothy Harding of Fulton, Aron Harding of Denver, Colo., Dwain Harding of Washington, and Marvin Harding of Knox City; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
