Three Jamesport FFA members are slated to be awarded the American FFA Degree at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis. The American FFA Degree is the highest award the organization can bestow upon its members. The degree is awarded to those individuals who have shown a dedication to their chapter and state associations. Members earning the degree have also maintained a successful SAE project(s), and have been involved in leadership activities on and above the local level.

Jamesport’s recipients for the 2009 American FFA Degree are Taryn Dustman, daughter of Richard and Sandy Dustman; Colter Hill, son of Bill and Sue Hill; and Jon Hobbs, son of J.C. and Kelvina Hobbs.

Missouri leads all other State Associations with the highest number of American Degree recipients, 387 Missouri FFA members will garner the degree at the 81st National FFA Convention in October.
