Hello, just a few thing from DCNR. July 25 was our open house. What a wonderful time everyone had. The food was outstanding. We served over 350 people. Thirty pounds of funnel cake mix, 32 kettles of popcorn, snow cones, cotton candy, hot dogs and cake. We provided games and face painting for the children. If you didn’t get a chance to attend, please feel free to stop by and take a tour of our building. We appreciate all the businesses that donated things for door prizes.

We would also like to congratulate everyone who won door prizes. As you know, August is a very busy month. School will be starting and the end of summer is winding down. DCNR is going to be equally busy. Aug. 5 is National Clown Day. We will have a clown here to pass out cookies to our residents. Aug. 7 is Motorcyclist Cruising Day. Anyone who rides a motorcycle is welcome to bring their bike out. The residents would really like to see your motorcycle. There will also be refreshments served.

Aug. 11 we will have a marshmallow contest and at 1:30 p.m. we will have a pie throwing contest.

Aug. 27 is our monthly birthday party for our residents.

Aug. 31 we will be having a Hawaiian luau.
