The Gallatin Area II officer team has had a great start to the year. The first officer team meeting was held on June 15, at president Jon Black’s house. Events for the upcoming year were discussed, t-shirts were given, time slots for working the district fair were decided, the Area Bowling Night date was set, and plans to attend the Area Officer Institute were discussed.
On June 18, the first annual Area Bowling Night was held. The event was a great success. Area chapters came to the Bethany and Chillicothe bowling alleys. Chapters that were at the Chillicothe bowling alley include; Chillicothe with 21 members, Jamesport 16, Trenton 12, Princeton 10, Polo two, Tina two, and seven advisors. The Bethany bowling alley included Maysville with seven members, Gallatin six, Bethany four, North Daviess three, and two advisors. Members enjoyed ice breakers, meeting the area officer team, and bowling games.
The Area II Officer team attended the Area FFA Officer Institute June 19 and 20 at Camp Rising Sun. The Area II Officer team includes president Jon Black, Chillicothe, vice president Sarah Cast, Princeton, secretary Savannah Cox, Jamesport, treasurer Taylor Lynch, Trenton, reporter Breanne Brammer, Gallatin, sentinel Caitlyn McFee, Maysville, parliamentarian Cole Crawford, Hamilton, and chaplain Jared Hogan, Jameson. The Institute sponsored by Toyota and the Missouri FFA Association was held at Camp Rising Sun located within the Lake of the Ozarks State Park.
