The Missouri Department of Transportation has announced that cold-in-place recycling resurfacing is scheduled to take place in several locations this construction season.

This process involves milling two to three inches of the existing pavement, adding additional asphalt oils to the milled material, and replacing the reclaimed material back on the road. Once the contractor is finished with the cold in place recycling, area maintenance crews then complete the process with a chip seal surface.
Resurfacing will begin on Route E in Daviess and DeKalb Counties beginning on or around Sept. 8 (weather permitting).
