Bills were audited and paid.

The commissioners reported having attended the meeting of the Northwest Missouri Commissioners Association on June 25 in Nodaway County.

At 10 a.m., as advertised, Dale Dickson, Shafer, Kline and Warren, opened the bids for the electrical improvements at the courthouse. Copeland Development & Construction was the apparent low bidder at $268,828. Mr. Dickson will review the bid documents and make a recommendation next week.

Lance Critten contacted all landowners abutting the property at 609 South Main, informing them of a meeting on July 6 at that property, regarding drainage improvements planned.

In the afternoon, the commission inspected brush and culvert problems in Washington Township.

Danny Heldenbrand moved to close a portion of the session to meet with Julie Mouldin, State Auditor’s office. David Cox seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
