The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in this effort.

"It’s never worth the risk to drive while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Drivers could lose their licenses, pay large fines, or worst of all, cause a tragic loss of life," said Sheriff Ben Becerra.

In 2007, 243 people died in Missouri in more than 7,780 alcohol-related traffic crashes, resulting in a death or injury every 1.7 hours.
