The 86th Altamont Alumni Banquet was held at the Altamont Community Hall on May 9. Kay Price prepared the hall for the banquet.

"School Days" was sung and then Connie Hughs gave the invocation. The meal was served by XIXI Beta Phi Sorority of Gallatin. This is the fifth year the sorority has catered the banquet.

Memorial tribute "Joy" was given by Francie Toney. Those remembered were Frances Barker Whitman, class of 1940, Clara Jean Depugh New, class of 1941, and long-time teacher Katharine Barker.

The program was music by the "Parton Family," Ivan, Ruth Ann and daughter Eugenia Jeffery and Emona Penniston.

Jewell Pendleton had a drawing for potted plants, flowers and ceramic items. Everyone received a prize.

Gallatin graduates from Altamont this year were Keya Bloss, Kevin McComas, Kelsey McLaughlin, Kaddie Mott, Jordan Phelps and Cary Lyn Uthe.

We closed by singing "God Be With You."

Linda Hughs will again be president along with her committee for next year.
