Forrest T. Jones & Company, Inc. (FTJ), the Kansas City, MO-based administrator that pioneered insurance programs for school districts and related groups, has announced that The Missouri Educators Unified Health Plan, Inc.(MEUHP), a mutual benefit corporation, received approval from the Missouri Secretary of State and the Missouri Department of Insurance on April 13, 2009 to conduct business as a non-profit corporation.
Three incorporators, Gallatin R-V School District, Kennett 39 School District, and Malden R-I School District, have formed the corporation to promote the common interests and mutual benefits of its members by engaging in providing and maintaining insurance and other benefits for its members.
The structure for MEUHP shall have a governing board of directors and regional representation from around the state. FTJ is the corporation’s appointed administrator and will be responsible for the management of the program.
