A memorial service for Laura Clapham will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2009, at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany. Her family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the American Cancer Society or to Hospice.

Laura Bell Clapham, 86, Roy, formerly of the Ravanna and Gilman City area, died on Wednesday, April 22, 2009.
Mrs. Clapham was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Joseph Clapham; brothers, Chester and Russel; sisters, Mary Bain, Patty Kritchard, and Thelma May; son, Jerry Clapham; great-granddaughter, Carman Schrock; two great-grandsons, Cameron and Cody Schrock.
Survivors include children, Nancy Herndon, Charles Clapham, Judy Parkhurst, Monty Clapham; sisters, Jean Trail, Goldie Wagner, Leta Frunish; brothers, Leonard Shilt and Robert Shilt; 18 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
