No major course schedule changes are planned for next year due to the unknown status of state testing for 2010-2011. After EOC test results are back from this year, future changes can be considered.

Items discussed at the principal’s conference held March 30-31 were: EOC testing this year and next; stimulus funding as completely unknown; based on legal advice, more and more schools are dropping traditional senior trips in favor of multiple daytime trips during the senior year, for instance to Worlds of Fun, Royals or Cardinals games, museums, etc. Reasons being that it is easier to get senior sponsors, student behavior is more accountable, less time is spent on fund-raising, and school liability is reduced tremendously.

Ethan Clark was high scoring individual and April Hall finished fourth for the forestry team at district FFA competition. They competed at state April 16-17.

Tabitha Piburn and Chandler Newman qualified for state in music.

Elementary basketball teams finished third (boys) and consolation (girls) at Pattonsburg. The Winston Shootout went very smoothly.
