A daycare provider workshop will be offered by University of Missouri Extension from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on April 27 at the Litton Agri-Science Learning Center on the Livingston County Fairgrounds.
The training will focus on making math fun for young children. The learning objectives of the training are that providers who attend will understand the Missouri Pre-Kindergarten Mathematics Standards, the skills that children need to be competent with math, have a wide variety of activity ideas to encourage children’s math competence and recognize ways to encourage children’s math competence through teacher-child interactions.

The cost of the two hour class is $10 for early registration and $15 at the door. Early registration deadline is Thursday, April 23. Dinner will be provided. Participants’ will receive training credit for two clock hours.
This workshop is intended for licensed and unlicensed providers, parents and community members. University of Missouri Extension programs are open to all.
