Funeral services for Ola May McCorkle will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 11, at the First Christian Church in Lathrop. Burial will be at Lathrop Cemetery. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church. Arrangements are by Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower. Donations may be made to the Gower Goodtimers or the church.

Ola May McCorkle, 87, Lathrop, died April 9, 2009. She was born on Sept. 13, 1921, to Samuel and Emma (Marshall) Crosswhite near Pattonsburg, where she grew up and attended school.
On April 12, 1941, she was united in marriage to George Allen McCorkle. After their marriage they lived in Paradise. In 1975 they moved to Lathrop where they made their home. Her husband, George, passed away March 6, 2007.
Mrs. McCorkle was a member of the First Christian Church of Lathrop and the Platte-Clay Electric Pathfinders. She was active in the Lathrop Antique Car Club, the Lathrop Mule Show, and attended the Gower Goodtimers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Marshall Crosswhite.
Survivors include two sons, Joe McCorkle, Turney, and Richard McCorkle, Smithville; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
