The Winston FFA Chapter competed in the Northwest District Ag Career Development Events on March 31 and April 2 in Maryville.
This is the first year that Winston has ever won a district contest, and also the first year that Winston has had two high individuals. The forestry and soils team will compete at the State CDE held during the State FFA convention in Columbia April 16 and 17.
On March 31, the forestry team, which consisted of Ethan Clark, April Hall, Mitchell Renouf, and Tabitha Piburn, brought home a third place overall, which qualified them for state competition. On April 2, Winston sent two full teams, dairy foods, and soils, and a one person team for horses.
