Gallatin music students have been busy at work since their recent MMEA performance. They competed in the District Solo and Ensemble Contest at St. Joseph Central High School on March 28. The instrumental department had 13 solo entries and four ensemble entries. The vocal department had five solo entries. There were three piano solo entries as well. Students receiving a "1-" or higher move on to state contest in Columbia on May 1. The results were as follows:
