Green Hills Community Action Agency recently completed construction of the complex and while some units have been filled, others are available for rent. Tenants must be income-eligible senior citizens age 62 and older or people with disabilities who are 55 and older. For rental information, contact Theresa Parmenter, rental management coordinator and inspector, at 660-684-6769.

The complex includes 10 one-bedroom apartment units in three buildings and four stand-alone cottages. Meadowview has a landscaped picnic and outdoor area, a community room, a parking area for all residents, and a laundry facility for residents living in the apartments. The apartments and cottages are equipped with new, energy-efficient stoves, refrigerators and microwave ovens. In addition, the cottages have energy-efficient clothes washers and driers. One apartment unit and all of the cottages are handicap accessible.

Meadowview Senior was built with federal funds awarded GHCAA by the Missouri Housing Development Commission. By constructing Meadowview Senior, GHCAA is fulfilling its commitment of increasing the number of decent, affordable housing units available for low-income individuals and families.

GHCAA serves nine counties in north-central Missouri. GHCAA focuses on assisting low-income people in their efforts to become self-sufficient by providing services to enable them to improve their financial, physical, mental and social level, and by operating programs designed to motivate individuals to help themselves.
