Funeral services for Esther Morris were held Tuesday at Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, St. Joseph. Interment was at Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Joseph.

Esther Lowe Morris, 103, St. Joseph, died March 7, 2009, at Saxton Woods Rehabilitation Center.
Born November 30, 1905, on a farm South of Albany, Mrs. Morris graduated from McFall High School in 1923 and attended Kirksville Teachers College. She graduated from Palmer College in Albany, and then graduated from Missouri Methodist School of Nursing in 1928.
On August 8, 1929, she married Wilbur A. Morris. He preceded her in death in 1979.
Mrs. Morris worked as a private duty nurse and at the former Missouri Methodist Hospital until 1983.
She was a member of Albany Presbyterian Church and had attended the former Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Morris was also preceded in death by her sister, Louise Young; her parents, John Nelson and Jeannie Belle (Winston) Lowe.
Survivors include one nephew and one niece.
