Kelly Hargis, 30, Kidder, and Tara Hogue, 26, Hamilton, were involved in a two vehicle accident at about 5:45 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28, in Caldwell County.
According to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Ms. Hogue was westbound in the right lane of westbound Hwy. 36 west of Center Road. Her 2002 Dodge Cavalier began to slide, coming to rest partially in the median of the westbound lane. Ms. Hargis was driving behind and also lost control and slid into the Hogue vehicle. Ms. Hogue’s vehicle came to rest in the inside median. Ms. Hargis’ 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier went across the road and came to rest on the north shoulder.
Ms. Hogue and a passenger in her vehicle, her aunt, Donna Marcott, 52, Hamilton, were taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center by Caldwell County Ambulance. They were both wearing their seat belts and received minor injuries.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. T.N. Garton, assisted by the Cameron Police Department and Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department.
