Nick Taul, St. Joseph, formerly of Jameson, was the state champion in the 285-pound weight class during the MSHSAA Class 2 Wrestling Championships held recently in Columbia. Taul, a junior at Benton High School and son of Jameson resident, Donald Taul, defeated Aaron Sinclair of Excelsior Springs, 3-1, to win the 285-pound title. Taul, who finished the 2008-09 season 44-4, was also a state qualifier as a sophomore.
