County Commission
James Lewis, bridge supervisor, reported that they are making culvert and bridge repairs, applying rip rap, as weather permits. They will work in Jamesport and Grand River Townships this week.
Bills were audited and paid.
The commission discussed possible grants available for energy conservation, "green" purposes.
Reta Rains, collector-treasurer, requested abatements for uncollectible personal taxes. Granted.
The commission contacted Robert Cowherd, attorney, regarding the progress of the negotiations with the care center lease.
Bob Burnett, Snyder and Associates, discussed the progress of construction on BRO 29. They also discussed the design of BRO project 31.
Becky Simpson, Extension Council, reported proposed budget cuts coming from the University of Missouri.
David McWilliams, coroner, reported that he has made application for a partial reimbursement of the costs incurred by the county with the recent murder victim.
In the afternoon, the commission inspected roads in Jamesport, Lincoln and Grand River Townships. They also continued the review of the CART maps.

Circuit Court
Jury trials are scheduled on March 4 for Michael V. Schofield of Boonville on two misdemeanor domestic assault charges and on March 5 for Roger W. Roedel of Pattonsburg on one count of felony property damage.
In Janet Perry vs. Charles J. Kaske et al, heard Feb. 25, the petition to quiet title was sustained. Judgment was entered for the petitioner.
In City of Gallatin vs. Carla J. Arnold, probation was revoked for failure to comply with city ordinances limiting dogs. The previously imposed sentence of 90 days in the regional jail was ordered executed, with credit given for time served.
In Livingston County, on a change of venue from Daviess County, Corey Ballew was sentenced Feb. 18 to 120 days in the regional jail with credit for time served for burglary second degree, class C felony.
A dissolution of marriage was granted to Rachel Dawn Griffith from Michael Allen Griffith on March 3 by Judge Edward Manring. Maiden name of Campbell was restored.

Sheriff’s Office
Jaime Odom, 41, Independence, was arrested Feb. 25 on a probation violation for possession of controlled substance, class C felony. Bond was denied.
Justin A. Linhart, 27, San Antonio, Texas, was arrested Feb. 24 for misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He posted $250 bond.
Dehanna Clark, 35, Kansas City, was arrested Feb. 26 for failure to appear on a misdemeanor count of DWI. He posted $1,000 bond.
Associate Circuit Court
In a jury trial held on Feb. 24 for Skylar A. Stinson, he was found guilty on a charge of DWI, prior offender. Sentencing was set for April 6. Stinson’s petition against the Director of Revenue was overruled. One traffic charge was also continued to April 6.
Michael R. Snider, Gallatin, was charged Feb. 21 with tampering with motor vehicle first degree, class C felony.

The following are traffic cases which were heard in the Associate Division of the Circuit Court of Daviess County involving a plea of guilty without contest and payment by mail of the standard fine plus court costs.
