Celebration of life service for Robert Hamby was held Feb. 22 at the Maysville United Methodist Church. Cremation was under the direction of Bram-Turner Funeral Home, Maysville. Memorials are suggested to Heifer Project International, Sid Ensign Scholarship Fund, or Maysville United Methodist Church.

Robert "Bob" Hardin Hamby, 77, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009, at home in Maysville.
Mr. Hamby graduated from North Kansas City High School and was a certified diesel mechanic.
He served in the Marine Corp in 1952 and 1953.

He married Geri Warn of Nashua on April 30, 1954. They operated Tri Honor Farm, a family run dairy farm at Plattsburg, for 35 years where they raised registered Holstein cows. He started Hamby Dairy Supply in 1991 and retired in 2001.
Mr. Hamby was a 4-H leader, a member of the Clinton and Daviess County Republican Central Committee and was a deacon of the First Presbyterian Church of Plattsburg. He served in leadership roles for Mid-America Dairymen and the Four-County Dairy Herd Improvement Association. He was a member of Maysville United Methodist Church at the time of his passing.
Survivors include three daughters, Kathy Walther, Columbia, Christine Hamby, Cameron, and Suzie Jones, Stewartsville; two sons, Dwight Hamby, Kansas City, and Paul Hamby, Maysville; one brother, Peewee Hamby; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
