Gallatin FCCLA competes at Region 2 STAR Events

The competition was organized and hosted by Gallatin’s Sydney Elbert as part of her duties as the Region 2 1st Vice President. Kathy Robertson, Wanda Batson, and Kelly Elbert also assisted with the competition.

Members participating in the competition and earning the following medals were: Junior Parliamentary Procedure: Abbi Porter, Kristin Critten, Ashley Huffman, Bethany Harris, Garrett McNeely, Devin Hall, and Blake Brockmeyer; Silver;

Senior Parliamentary Procedure: Wren Tolen, Sydney Elbert, Tye Humphrey, Kale Hefley, Megan Chadwick, Alexandra Burge, Levi Michener, and Taylor Porter, Gold and State;

Junior Chapter Showcase, Display: Samantha Smith, Ashley Burns, and Kara Stanley, Silver;

Senior Interpersonal Communications: Len Deutschman, Gold;

Senior Chapter Service Manual: Cary Uthe and Nicole Everman, Gold and State;

Senior Chapter Service Project Display: Ashley Pettit, Hillaree Barlow, and Sierria Rainey, Gold and State;

Senior Impromptu Speaking: Maggie Strange, Gold and State;

Senior Life Event Planning: Bailey Bozarth and Taylor Sheldon, Gold and State;

All participants will be honored at the Region 2 STAR Events awards and installation night on Wednesday, March, 11, at 6 p.m. at the Lathrop Middle School.

All top Gold medal award winners will be competing at the State STAR Events competition in Columbia, on March 29-31. The Gallatin FCCLA chapter is advised by Becky Adkison.
