Funeral services for Dorothy Stroup were held Feb. 16 at Stroup-Thompson Funeral Home in Winston. Burial was at Alta Vista Cemetery, Weatherby.

Dorothy Evelyn Stroup, 90, Cameron, died on Friday, Feb. 13, 2009.
Mrs. Stroup was born Dec. 9, 1918, in Winston, to Harry Elwood and Katherine Erma (Ross) Stroup.
She was of Baptist faith and worked as an executive secretary for Duke Energy before retiring.
Survivors include nephew, Victor Stroup, Kansas City; nieces, Nancy Caldwell, Gallatin, and Belinda Gross, Stewartsville; and sister-in-law, Virginia Stroup, Winston.
