Crop production continues to be challenging, with the volatility in commodity prices paired with increasing input costs. The University of Missouri has designed a conference to address these challenges and opportunities in an interactive format. MU State Specialists with expertise in economics, fertility and nutrient management, crop production, pest management, and weather forecasting will present the newest research to date and outline strategies growers can use in 2009.

Growers will benefit from discussion on topics such as fertilizer industry ad pricing; effect of plant population on corn and soybean yield; protecting seeds from disease and insect pests; nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium management; impact of weather conditions on field crop diseases; Liberty Link and conventional soybean production; value of stacked traits for insect protection; foliar fungicide use; economics of variable rate fertilizer application.
