Christopher Shirk, 19, Kidder, received moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident that occurred at about 9:40 p.m. on Feb. 10, in Livingston County. According to the highway patrol, Christopher was northbound on Route D, three miles north of Ludlow.

His 1998 Dodge went off the west side of the roadway on a corner, lost control, and overturned two and a half times before coming to rest on its top.

Christopher was wearing his seat belt. He was taken to Hedrick Medical Center by Chillicothe Ambulance.

The accident was investigated by Tpr. McAtee, assisted by Trp. Raney and Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.

A Kidder teenager received moderate injuries in an accident that happened at about 6:10 a.m. on Feb. 10, in Caldwell County. According to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Kenneth Lawson, 17, was southbound in Hwy. 13 when, about two miles north of Polo, he failed to negotiate his 1989 Honda around a curve. The vehicle traveled across the roadway and went off the east side, striking a field entrance. The vehicle then went airborne, landed, and came to rest on its wheels in a fence.

Kenneth, who was wearing his seat belt, was taken by Cameron Ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center.

The accident was investigated by Cpl. J.P. Angle, assisted by the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department.

Two men were injured in an accident that occurred at about 3:13 p.m. on Feb. 2, in DeKalb County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred as Paul Asher, 39, Cameron, was northbound on Route EE, three miles north of Cameron. He failed to yield while attempting to turn left and hit a vehicle driven by Scott Sweiger, 24, Pattonsburg, head on. Both vehicles came to rest in the roadway.

Mr. Asher and Mr. Sweiger both received moderate injuries and were taken by Cameron Ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center. Mr. Asher was wearing his seat belt and Mr. Sweiger was not.

The 1991 Ford Escort driven by Mr. Asher and the 1987 Toyota pickup driven by Mr. Sweiger were totaled.
