Wishing the GHS wrestlers good luck
Gallatin High School Wrestling Team sent five state qualifiers to Columbia Feb. 19-21. The Gallatin Fire Department escorted the wrestlers out of town on Thursday. Residents were invited to show their school and town pride by stepping outside and giving them a wave.

Fry, Thune plan June wedding
Whitney Fry, the daughter of Tim and Shandolyn Fry, all of Baxter, Minn., and Rory Thune, the son of Dave and Ronda Glende and John and Linda Thune, all of Brainerd, Minn., are planning a June wedding at the home of the bride’s parents on White Sand Lake in Baxter. The bride is the granddaughter of Shirley Fry of Gallatin and Elbert Fry of Bonne Terre.

Conservation Department needs more ‘gobbleteers’
JEFFERSON CITY–The Missouri Department of Conservation and the National Wild Turkey Federation once again are looking for early-rising volunteers to continue a five-year study of turkey gobbling habits. Besides the pleasure of hearing lusty mating calls of male wild turkeys twice a week, participants can hope to win a shotgun or a lifetime hunting permit in return for their contributions to science.
