The week of Feb. 9-13, the school will hold its annual Jump Rope for Heart event. Students will jump rope to raise funds for the American Heart Association’s cardiovascular research and educational programs. Jump Rope for Heart is co-sponsored by the American Heart Association and the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.

David Prather, head coach of the Hamilton Lady Hornets, has been named 2008 Coach of the Year in Missouri for girls basketball.
The prestigious award comes from the National Federation of State High School Coaches Association, the official national coaches association of the National Federation of State High School Associations. (NFHS). Prather led the Lady Hornets to a 32-0 record and Missouri Class 2 State title in 2007-08.
