Gallatin varsity basketball teams took two games from Polo Tuesday night, winning the girls game, 57-22, and taking the boys contest, 48-43.

The Lady Bulldogs improved to 11-2 overall and 2-0 in the Grand River Conference as they prepare now for an important league game at Albany on Friday.

Courtney Ray totaled 18 points, four steals, three assists and four rebounds for the Lady Bulldogs on Tuesday. Also scoring for the Lady Bulldogs were: Wren Tolen 8 (6 rebounds), Kelly Critten 6, Ashley Beck 5 (3 rebounds), Ashley Owens 4 (4 steals, 5 assists), Tye Humprhey 4, Alex Burge 4 (7 rebounds), Maggie Strange 4, Ashley Boyd 3 and Becca Mott 1.

The Bulldogs rode a 24-14 lead to the half then held on for a five-point victory that pushed their record to 7-5 overall and 2-0 in the conference.

Bobby Rhoades canned four three-pointers on his way to 13 points to lead Gallatin, followed by Kale Hefley 9, Ben Adams 9, Derrick Sprague 6, Vince Wiley 5, Colton Selby 2, Jason Moore 2 and Matt Pottorff 2.
