Jack Hansen, 59, Zanger, Texas, received moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident that occurred at about 6:17 p.m. on Jan. 9 in Daviess County.

According to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Mr. Hansen was southbound in the passing lane of I-35. He swerved to avoid debris in the roadway. His 2003 Lexus crossed the median and ran off the roadway on the northbound side, struck a ditch and continued south. The vehicle then struck a concrete pole and overturned, coming to rest in the ditch facing north.
Mr. Hansen was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center by Daviess County Ambulance Service. He was wearing his seat belt.
His vehicle was totaled.
