Funeral services for Olen Plymell were held at 10:30 a.m. today (Wednesday) at Burlington Junction United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Ohio Cemetery, Burlington. Arrangements were by Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville. Memorial donations may be made to the Burlington Junction U.M.C. or the Ohio Cemetery.

Olen Otto Plymell, 92, Burlington Junction, died Jan. 3, 2009 at the Golden Living Center, Maryville.
Born on Dec. 29, 1916, in McFall, he was the son of William Orville and Nora Grace (Culver) Plymell.
He was of the Methodist Faith and worked most of his life as farmer. In later years he retired from the St. Francis Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Ilene Yates; brother Dale; sisters Wilma Nelson and Ada Walker; and a grandson Russell Graham.
Survivors include his wife Lodema Iona (Brownfield) Plymell, whom he married on June 13, 1938, in Rockport; his children, Rex H., Burlington Junction, Juanita Carroll, College Springs, Iowa, Linda G. Baker, Maryville; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
