Two people from Coffey received moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident that occurred at about 11:30 a.m. on Dec. 3, in Daviess County.

According to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol, Jack Hilliard, 38, was northbound on Hwy. 13, one mile north of Coffey when he lost control of his 1988 Nissan pickup on the snow covered roadway. He traveled off the west side of the roadway, striking a ditch. The pickup rolled onto the passenger side and then back on to its wheels.

Mr. Hilliard and a passenger, Naomi Hilliard, 40, were taken by private vehicle to Harrison County Hospital. They were both wearing their seat belts.

The pickup was moderately damaged.

The accident was investigated by Tpr. J. Johnson.

No summons was issued.

Timothy Jeffers, 36, Gallatin, received moderate injuries, in a one-vehicle accident that occurred at 2:49 p.m. on Dec. 9, about four miles south of Gallatin on Hwy. 13.

According to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol, Mr. Jeffers was southbound on Hwy. 13 when he lost control of his 2005 Ford pickup on the snow and ice covered roadway. He crossed the center line, traveled off the east side and struck an embankment. The pickup came to rest on the driver’s side off the east side of Hwy. 13.

Mr. Jeffers was transported by community ambulance to Cameron Regional Medial Center. He was wearing his seat belt.

The pickup was totaled.

The accident was investigated by Tpr. M. Lewis, assisted by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department and the Gallatin Fire Department.

No summons was issued.
