A Gallatin man was among a group of six men arrested by the Chillicothe police department for the alleged theft of approximately $42,000 worth of gasoline and diesel fuel.

Bradley James Leatherman, 25, Gallatin, and five Chillicothe men, Dustin Rinehart, 24, James Dean Silkwood, 25, Michael Leroy Silkwood, 31, Robert Kendrick, 30, and Phillip Galvin, 41, were arrested in connection with the theft of a fuel credit card which was used to obtain fuel for themselves and others. A large amount may have been sold at a discount rate to friends and family members.
The investigation is ongoing, and other charges may be pending. The alleged crimes began at the end of 2007 and continued through October 2008.
The preliminary hearing for Leatherman and the other subjects is set for Dec. 17 in Livingston County. They have each been charged with the class B felony theft/stealing (value of property or services is $25,000 or more.)
