The staff of the Daviess County WIC program are happy to provide Women (pregnant, BF, and up to six months postpartum), Infants, and Children (up to 5 years), who have qualifying incomes, with a supplemental food and nutrition education opportunity.
WIC clients are provided with checks which they can redeem at the grocery store for basic nutritious food which we all need to maintain good health.
Money can be especially tight during the holidays, so this is the perfect time to call the Health Department to make a WIC appointment and start receiving a gift of nutritious food to help your family members to have a healthy, happy holiday season.
Holiday Ideas
Remember that family meals at home help create happy memories!
Also, you can create a very special homemade gift with your children by putting together a family cookbook with your favorite recipes written on some of the pages and allowing the children to draw and color pictures on other pages. Grandparents, aunts and uncles love homemade gifts from the your children, and your children need to learn that holidays are a time for sharing and giving gifts to others.
Wishing you a healthy holiday season from the Daviess County WIC Program. Phone 663-2414.
