Eight Veterans visited with Mrs. Youtsey’s Title 1 Reading students on Veteran’s Day to answer questions and to share their stories about the war they were in.

The students worked on map skills, time lines, and after asking questions and visiting they had to write a report on each of the veterans that visited their group. Pictured are Shad Mort and Gary Redman working with third graders on their map skills. Also pictured is Herb Carpenter sharing his artifacts from the Korean War with fifth graders. Mrs. Youtsey and the Title 1 Reading students would like to express their appreciation to all the veterans that participated. The project is on display in the front hall of the elementary.
