Private family services for William Hathaway will be held at a later date. Mr. Hathaway has been cremated under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Pattonsburg. William L. "Bill" Hathaway, 80, Jameson, died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008.
He was born May 28, 1928, in St. Joseph, the son of Henry Luther and Lois (Conaway) Hathaway. He was a graduate of Jameson High School.
Mr. Hathaway retired from the Army after 20 years of service.
He was a farmer and truck driver.
Mr. Hathaway was a member of the Coffey Christian Church.
On April 9, 1949, he married Shirley Dudley. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include one son, Boyd Hathaway; one daughter, Lois Stark; one sister, Jean Whisman; his step-mother, Crystal Hathaway; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
