Gallatin landed six players on the All-Grand River Conference football honor squad announced one week ago, including four defensive spots and a pair of offensive slots.
Junior Colton Selby earned recognition at three different positions. The 5-9, 165-pounder led the Bulldogs on defense with 108 tackles, four interceptions and four fumble recoveries, and was a first-team, all-conference pick at defensive back. He also caught 28 passes for 539 yards and four scores to earn honorable mention at split end. His 351 return yards and three touchdowns earned him second-team recognition as a return specialist.
Senior Jacob Gienapp earned first-team recognition at defensive end, despite missing at least one game. He recorded 66 tackles for the season at defensive end.
Senior Derrick Sprague also missed time but was recognized with a second-team honor at defensive tackle after recording 53 tackles, two sacks and a blocked field goal.
Senior linebacker Alex Critten chalked up 48 tackles for the Bulldogs and was a second-team, all-league pick.
Derrick Teel, a senior split end, scored five touchdowns and caught 25 passes for 424 yards. He was a second-team all-conference selection.
Senior quarterback Kale Hefley rushed for 210 yards and five touchdowns and completed 98 of 214 passes for a school-record 1,367 yards and nine touchdowns, and was named to the honorable mention list at quarterback.
