Members were encouraged to bring in the same number of pounds lost in food items for the local food pantry.

The 162 pound total lost was turned into the national office where all groups’ numbers were combined. The Weight Watcher Company then donated up to one million dollars to two national level food banks to assist during this needy time.

Locally, some members brought in food to represent the number of months it took to reach their goal, 80 pounds of flour to represent the pounds a member lost, and food numbering the pounds to loose to reach their next goal. This campaign helped on a local level for our community food pantry but also motivated members to work towards their goal for others as well as themselves.

Weight Watchers meet at the Christian Church at 5:15 on Wednesday evenings. Weigh-ins begin at 4:45. The meetings last until 5:45. All are welcome to come learn how to live in a healthy manner.
