James Lewis, bridge supervisor, reported that he will accompany the FEMA representative on inspections this week.

The commission met with the DeKalb County Commission and regional jail administration in Maysville, regarding prisoner insurance. No decisions were made.
Don Tolen, Jackson Township, reported a culvert in need of repairs. James Lewis was contacted and will inspect today.
Lance Critten contacted the engineer to make a final inspection of the restroom renovations. He had also checked on the roof repairs and the supplies have been ordered.

Daviess County Collector
Collector Reta Rains reports that tax statements will be mailed this week. If you do not receive your tax statement within 10 days, please contact the collector’s office.
Sheriff’s Office
Donald Ealey, 38, Austin, Texas, was arrested Oct. 30 for possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver, class B felony. Two trash bags containing around 17 pounds of marijuana were found in his trunk when he was stopped for a traffic violation on I-35. The car was a rental for which he was not an authorized driver and was impounded for the rental agency. He is being held at the regional jail on $85,000 bond.
Marvin Pate, 27, Minneapolis, Minn., was arrested Nov. 2 on a misdemeanor Clark County warrant for traffic violations and two Ralls County misdemeanor warrants for failure to appear on traffic violations. He posted a total of $1,113 bond.
Emery Smith, 56, Odessa, was arrested Oct. 31 for misdemeanor no valid license. He is being held on $500 bond.
David Karstens, 48, Gallatin, was arrested Nov. 1 for failure to return to confinement. Bond was denied.
Andrew Rainey, 22, Jamesport, was arrested Oct. 28 for misdemeanor DWI. He was processed and held for 12-hour detoxification.
Scott McGinnis, 24, Kansas City, was arrested Nov. 2 for misdemeanor DWI. He was processed and held for 12-hours. A summons was issued.
Tracy Carder, 43, Gallatin, was charged Nov. 1 with misdemeanor DWI. She was processed and held for 12-hour detoxification. Summons was issued.
Circuit Court
Carla Arnold, Gallatin, was sentenced Oct. 30 on an animal nuisance charge filed by the City of Gallatin last October. She was sentenced to 90 days in jail, execution of sentence suspended, and two years probation. Compliance to the dog ordinance must be completed by Jan. 1, 2009.
On Oct. 28, Robert Dennis Sutton of Jamesport was sentenced to four years in the Department of Corrections for DWI aggravated offender, class C felony, and 30 days jail, concurrent, for possession of marijuana, class A misdemeanor.
Travelers Commercial Casualty Co. vs. Perry Detweiler was dismissed by the court with prejudice.
Criminal cases filed: State vs. Joe Willie Huff, St. Louis, two counts of felony non-support.
Civil cases filed: Jean Mott, next of friend, vs. Blair Shock, personal injury-vehicular.
Associate Circuit Court
Michael J. Balletta, Chillicothe was charged Oct. 28 with passing bad checks, class C felony.
Municipal Division
Courts costs for moving violation $32.50; non-moving $29.50.
Ray Bontrager received a suspended imposition of sentence, two years probation, and 30 hours community service for DWI. He was fined $150 for speeding amended to defective equipment.
Rodney Webber received a suspended imposition of sentence, two years probation and 30 hours of community service for minor in possession of alcohol.
Danielle L Faubion, Gallatin, was fined $25 for no insurance and $27.50 for no proper plates.
Fredrick J. Jones, Gallatin, was fined $27.50 for no valid license and $7.50 for operating 4-wheeler after dark.
Albert Johnson, St. Joseph, was fined $25 for no insurance, $47.50 for careless and imprudent, and $27.50 for no valid license.
Richard A. Moulton, Osborn, was fined $27.50 for failure to stop at stop sign and $47.50 for careless and imprudent.
