Team members from Gallatin were Sara Lin, Kaitlyn McNeely and Aubrey Nelson. Sara Lin pitched and rotated out at short stop, while team member Kaitlyn McNeely was the catcher. Aubrey Nelson played third base for the team. Lin and McNeely, long time Inferno members, both hit home runs during the weekend. Nelson’s triple and steal to home plate put the Inferno team into a tie before winning that game by two runs to advance to the semi-final rounds. Sara Lin’s pitching to Kaitlyn McNeely allowed for only one run with quite a number of strikeouts. Aubrey Nelson nabbed an MVP award for the third pool play game on Saturday night. The team played six games in 26 hours to end the weekend in third place, losing the last game by one run.
