Funeral services for Ramona Young will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Clark-Sampson Funeral Home, St. Joseph, with entombment following in Mt. Olivet Cemetery Mausoleum, St. Joseph. Visitation will be after 12 noon today (Wednesday) at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Cancer Society.

Ramona M. Young, 75, St. Joseph, died Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, after a battle with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
Mrs. Young was born in Pattonsburg, later moving to St. Joseph, where she lived most of her life.
She retired from the Buchanan County Court House, working with both the collector’s and assessor’s office.
Mrs. Young was also active with the Buchanan County Democratic Club and Moose Lodge.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Iola and Everett Terry, Sr.; brothers, Everett Jr., Ronnie and Rex Marvin Terry; and a sister, Rose Marlene Terry.
Survivors include her children, Robert Hoover, Lori England, and Shane Young, all of St. Joseph; brother, Ralph Terry, San Diego, Calif.; sisters, Mildred Cox, Betty Jefferies and Maxine Franks, all of Gallatin; Leona Reynolds and Retha Jahnke, St. Joseph; and two grandchildren.
