Fred and Helen Burns of Chillicothe will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Oct. 11, at the Dockery Park Shelter House in Gallatin, during a reception held in their honor from 2 to 4 p.m.

All friends and family are invited to attend the event, which will be hosted by their children. The couple was married on Oct. 8, 1948, in Bethany, by Bro. Orville Rinehart. Their children are: Mardilla and Bob Moore of Chillicothe, Ken and Stephanie Burns of Pattonsburg, Ernest and Terry Burns, of Braymer, Ethel and Larry Head, of Brookfield, and Renee and Dan Hopper of Sikeston.
