Gallatin finished third of three teams competing at Trenton on Monday. The Lady Bulldogs combined for a team score of 238 to finish behind Hamilton (231) and host Trenton (187).

Elbert took low honors for Gallatin with a 52, followed by Smith 57 and Burge 62. Taylor and Teresa Tairent each shot 67.

Friday’s Plattsburg Tournament featured individual, best ball and scramble scoring with the combined totals counting toward a team score. Gallatin, with a 332, finished near the middle of the pack in the tournament, which was won by Maryville with a 289.

Elbert shot 104 in individual play, and teamed with Smith for a combined 99 in best ball competition. Taylor and Burge teamed up for a 129 in the scramble.

Elbert’s round of 49 was good enough for the runnerup spot in the medalist race during a four-team "mini conference" meet last Thursday at Daviess County Country Club.

Maysville, behind Katie Webber’s medalist performance (46) edged Gallatin, 217 to 229, for the best team total. South Harrison golfers shot 238 and King City shot 251.

Other individual scores for the Lady Bulldogs were Taylor 53, Smith 57 and Tairent 70.

Gallatin golfers host Albany and Stanberry on Thursday and will participate in the Albany Tournament next Monday.
