A memorial graveside service for Wilbur Davis was held Saturday at Grandview Cemetery, Albany. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donors’ choice in care of Roberson-Polley Chapel, 403 N. Hundley, Albany, Mo. 64402.

Wilbur Lee "Pete" Davis, 79, Albany, died Sept. 9, 2008, at the Albany hospital.
Mr. Davis, the son of Bert Luster and Edna May (Cheatham) Davis, was born May 30, 1929, in Gentry County.

Mr. Davis worked as a farmhand, and at Bunch and Son Stave Mill.

He was a member of the Denver Christian Church.

Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Martina Waldeier; sisters, Martha Higgins, Ola Collins and Gertie Davis; and brothers, Clair, Johnny, Irvin, Marvin "Buck" and Rex Davis.

Survivors include two daughters, Susie Fletchall, Clearfield, Iowa, and Brenda Thurman, Grant City; two sons, John Davis, Kahoka, and Rick Davis, Denver; two brothers, Jim Davis, Delaware, and Norman "Bull" Davis, Albany; two sisters, Vernie Lane, Stanberry, and Opal Mikes, Pattonsburg; six grandchildren; and one stepgrandchild.
