During the regular meeting held Wednesday, Aug. 13, Water Superintendent Eddy Meador reported to the Pattonsburg Board of Aldermen that the city needs to start thinking about digging a new water well because well #5 is having a lot of problems. The board gave permission to pursue getting a grant.

The tax rate levy was set at $1 per $100.
Bills were paid.
Monthly reports were reviewed.
Dwight Schell turned in his resignation from the board of aldermen, but the board refused it at this time.
The board motioned to allow City Clerk Karen Shepherd to take off Aug. 28 and 29 and also get her vacation and sick pay.
Syed Amir Raza Nagvi has applied for a liquor license and the board voted to grant it.
The council went over the interrogatories concerning the court proceedings regarding the water contract.
Public Water Supply District #1 has approached the board about adding on about 75 customers. The board carried a motion to refuse the request while the contract is in limbo.
The cooks shack was inspected and found to be clean and will be turned over to the school for ball season.
