The Missouri Department of Natural Resources lifted the boil water order for the City of Gallatin on Sept. 8 after test results from water samples collected on Sept. 5 and 6 showed that water was safe to drink and repairs were completed as required at the water treatment plant facility.

Department officials had declared the boil order on Aug. 11 because of a complete loss of water pressure throughout the entire water system for several days and damage to the water treatment facility.
