The Missouri Department of Conservation will sponsor a one day hunter education class on Saturday, Sept. 27, at the Dockery Park building in Gallatin.

The class will start at 8 a.m. and finish around 7 p.m. There will be an hour break for lunch. Each student is responsible for their own lunch. Hunter education certification is limited to persons 11 years of age and older.
Students under 16 must bring proof of age to class. Seating is limited; therefore, each student must pre-register by calling the Missouri Department of Conservation=s Chillicothe office at 660-646-6122. The Chillicothe office is open on weekdays between the hours of 8 a.m. to 12 noon and 1-5 p.m. The class is free of charge.
Missouri law requires all persons born on or after January 1, 1967, to have an approved Hunter safety certification card which they must display to permit vendors before they can purchase any type of firearm hunting permit.
